Interests:
reverse engineering for windoes-linux interoperability, disassembly, decompilation more to the point, I did some work on drivers for unsupported hardware. in particular, i wrote a driver for an obscure mp3 player (atl et313). this one sucks bigtime, but so do the windows driver and the device itself. BTW, nobody else seems to need this stuff (perhaps i've taken too long to get this finished). then, i'm interested in reverse engineering of file formats - in particular, babylon's .bgl glossaries. this brought me to one of my current projects (not really started yet) - unpacking nullsoft install packages. another unfinished/not really started project is getting the hardware mpeg encoder on a hauppauge wintv/pvr to work under linux. professionally, i'm working in probability theory/statistics/stochastic processes, and my favorite hobby (apart from re) is oriental (turkish) music.
