Ther is A BIG differens between two emulators. Sentemul2007 can emulate only one dongle at a time, when vusbbus more then... I realy don't know how many. I used 4 a the same time and I am sure it can emulate more, I don't think there is a limit.

Hi all
i have tested 3 ssp emulator for app developed with WINDEV 5.5
this app is in 16bit mode for win98 and use lpt ssp
under xp with original dongle and sentinel driver the app run ok
but no one of emulator are accepted (toro ,sentemul,vUSB)
the only one super pro 0.43 emulator are partially accepted
this app use SPWINDEV.DLL
i can send this dll for analyse

Is there anything else to do after reboot (I foled the tutorial on the first page)? I checked the 'Virtual usb bus enumerator' under 'my computer' and it seems to be installed successfully.

You should see in "Device Manager: -> "Universal serial bus controllers" the "SafeNet USB SuperPro/UltraPro". You should see at least two of those as one come with the emulator (if you installed it) and second one is yours.

Problem with file .dmp

i dump with pva 3.3 , file name :
spro_RNBO_SPN_DRIVER_xxxx_0.dmp

Solve with f1_nodongle and file name :
0000.ssp and not xxxx.ssp

open with UniDumpToReg.exe 1.1b5 and file name:
0000.reg
and edit
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Emulator\Sentinel\Dump\00000000]

looking at the file size of these emulators

Safekey : 17kB + 99kB ssp file
Dongle-Emulator : 19kB + 1kB se file
vUSB : 168kB + 43kB + 2kB reg file

for SSPro emulation, i think that Dongle-Emulator's solution is the best and much easy to use. As a member of this forum, i suggest that we should set a date when all tools for emulators will no longer be available for download.:)

:mad: But do you have your recommended emulator in full mode? As I know that one is not reversed and it is working in TRIAL/DEMO mode, others you noted are fullly and posted in the public.

the emulator works perfectly.. it is your se file that contain the limitation. if you would just try to read and analyze it.. you'll be able to remove this limitation.

and for the record.. i did not, in anyway, recommended that you use it. i am just voicing out and sharing my thoughts regarding my observation. you use it in your own free will.

what i meant is that we regulate the distribution of these tools that you are posting. what's the harm in that? RCE never post these tools yet a lot of us are still in that forum and we are learning a lot from them.

You are agree to share the knowledge and not the tools. So let's take a example:
I am a newbie and I have a need to duplicate my dongle (legal one). I can come here to learn how to do so, but never find the right tools. How can I do what I need, the only way is to pay to the service to someone...or to write my own tools. Let's see those two options:
1. Create my own tool, in 1%~3% of all ppl that will try to create duplicate by themself can do that after a long-long time. So it's semply almost impossible.
2. Pay to someone to do that for me, so we again come back to the money problem....and again who will get the money???

All new member just want ready made solution for their emulation problem. All these post have no information value. So why support them?

I think this forum already have a lot of valuable information regarding dongle emulation that new member can utilized to solve their problem unless for some special case. The problem is they just don't take effort to search & read through all previous post but only want quick solution and answer from our senior here.

sharing to them these tools without them even trying to learn about the subject is like helping them steal something that doesn't belong to them, that is all in to it.

Hello..

I followed y8y8's instructions, but the f1_nodongle conversion, only creates a 1KB file. I ran the file through the ssptoreg command utility, then installed the driver, imported the .reg, rebooted but it isn't working. I then unistalled all sentinal drivers, the vusbus driver, rebooted, then reinstalled everything... still no luck.

I've searched and read through all the information I could find, but I think the problem is that the .ssp file that's created is only 1KB.

Any ideas?

There is some cases that ssp is 1k, I think it's because there is no algos.
Check in you reg file if the path is right.

Not whole right. ssp file has 202 bytes, if there is only std.algo or no algo. So it is correct filesize.

can someone please have a look at this reg file and tell me if its alright, i followed y8y8y8y instructions, but cant get this emul to work.
The dmp file was 5KB
The ssp file was 99KB
The reg was 1KB

What tool did you used to convert ssp to reg, unidmp2reg?
Read this post carefully and check your reg file, I am sure you will find the problem yourself.

P.S.
Try to use text editor other then Notepad.
