hi

i have a wibu dongle emulator..it works fine in windows xp 32 and 64bit..however, when trying to install the emu in windows 7 64bit (vmware) the dongle driver does not install..

the files in the folder are:

wibuvd.sys
.inf file
devmgr.exe
.bat files to install the emu

i honestly think the devmgr.exe file does not work correctly in windows 7..i could be wrong.

any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

thanks you for the replies..bfox, the problem is not driver signing, since the emu will not even start..nothing happens when i run install.bat..

any other suggestions?

need to use another devcon.exe and then solve problem with the driver signing

If emulator works in WinXP 64 the problem is not with devcon.
May be it detects virtual environment?

Maybe this helps.

Add this in the first line of your install.bat

cd /d %~dp0

Like Pivasik already wrote, if you can install it on WinXP 64 Bit, it should work also on Windows 7 - 64 Bit. I think to be sure, you need to install it on a real W7 and not via VMWare.

imho, wibuvd.sys is vmprotected

Thanks fo the replies and suggestions..and offers to help.

I have used the Devcon for 64bit and still the drivers wont install..nothing happens when running install.bat in win7

i tried the suggestion Lomex..still nothing.

I will try to install the emulator in non-vm environment and report the result.

one thing to note the wibuvd.sys file is 1.5MB big..is this normal?
