Hi all,

Regarding the Wlscgen 8.2.1 available on our forum, this wlscgen is working for a particular VID (006A to be precise).

I have patched the VID in wlscgen 7.1 using crackz pages..

Now I am unable to locate VLM_MorphId() function in 8.2 wlscgen.

btw the calculation in 8.2 is:

91489F6D XOR 0AC221DE = 9B8ABEB3
9B8ABEB3 XOR 9B8ABED9 = 006A

For a particular vid (e.g. 4EB7):

4EB7 XOR 9B8ABED9 = 9B8AF06E
9B8AF06E XOR 0AC221DE = 9148D1B0
VLM_MORPHID(9148D1B0)=?????

I am stuck on last step here..the output of third step will define the word to be patched for this VID..

Can anyone support in this regards? Is any workaround the make this wlscgen work for any VID?

I thought you were using th SSP emulator for this?. If so, the vendor ID is in the emulator/dongle.

I have tried to change the VID in the reg file (4EB7) and then generate lic with it but it still give VID as "006A" only.

Sample 7.x Lic generated with 8.2:

What are you decoding the license with?. Slmdec just crashes with that string for me.

slmdec103 was also crashing on my pc..(in fact for all the licenses)..

I thought I had worked round the crash by running it in Win95 compatibility mode, but it seems to be doing it again. There's a newer version of slmdec that hasn't been made public, I would really like to get hold of that.

Thanks for the lsdecode hint, I haven't looked inside it yet. I have just tried an experiment. I generated a license, changed the VendorID in the emulator and then generated an otherwise identical license. The licenses were identical, so it looks like the wlscgen is still stamped at installation time, and at that time only it gets the VID from the dongle.
