Xbox no mod?

I read news article on a group that has a no-modchip for booting xbox? Anyone heard anything else like this?

probably just a play off the dashboard overflow, is it a cd then you stick in and it boots it?

dunno news article said it was a backdoor in the OS so software patch only but other than that i dunno.

Would be hole in the dashboard.. its old news..

On one side.. would be nice to see all the xbox releases now with the dashboard vulnerability.. so people without xbox modchips can play em.. but on the other hand.. m$ if you log online can screw ya and patch yer system.. rendering all the releases of that era useless for the future..
Of course you could always patch it back

Could be an addition to the start of the loader.. hrm.. would need to exploit dashboard vulnerability before you could patch tho.. so that wouldn't work... ideas?

See this is only the start I believe of a few vulnerabilities that we'll start seeing.. I was hearing something a while ago about there being holes outside of just the fonts reader..
