Hi there!
I have made a little crackme that can be downloaded on http://www.crackmes.de/users/nagual/crackm...es/not4cracking.
I posted 16 days ago and nobody has been able to reverse/crack it. Its only 36 kb long (in pure asm of course :wink: ), but I would not be able to crack it myself, and I would really like if someone would tell me if/how it is possible to crack this little nut!
The interesting part about it is that it goes directly after NTIce and IceExt. You cannot hide NTIce from it no matter what 8) ..
It does some basic encryption and a lot of SHA-1, so it should be interesting enough.

Yes!

If we assume that I didn't know the registration code, I cannot figure out a way to crack it or reverse it:-). I have tried to crack it with all the debuggers that I know, but it won't do as it is designed against these, and in fact I cannot get past the first and simplest layer!
Also, the fact that you just can't use NTIce on it makes it very complicated I think.
If any on the board would give it a try I would be very happy to discuss it. I am sure there are people who are a lot better than me in reversing :-)

Someones gotta be better if you can't reverse your own coding....... Sounds sad. Give a link to the source and atleast people will believe you aren't just trying to get some app cracked.

how is making the source available changing anything? are you suggesting he ripped out a complete protection system out of some commercial application and reassembled it as a crackme? not very likely.
