Talking Overload !

I want to apologize for delay !

but I started with one simple component and I ended up with more than 10 packages to reverse, Think of it as an overload !

but I will try to focus on them one by one, I feel lost here since I wrote few pages in several tutors and don't know what to complete

Default all the guru please help!

I have an application using .net obfuscation for licensing features -- an assembly writer told me.
Which utility is to reveal the algorithm/creator ? What files are to look for ? Thank all.

I've been trying to crack one .NET app and having trouble with it.
It's obfuscated and Reflector shows DotfuscatorAttribute , well...it took me some time and finally i've found routine where it checks for serial, trouble is when I patch exe file (one byte only)..program starts and then it reports error , i thought maybe its becasuse i've patched something else and vital for execution maybe (but i'm sure it was ok, found right file offset, read all the material from here, great tutorials from you guys) and then i've found out that it must have some kind of CRC check , and thats it....
btw...protection is basic, textbox for serial number, machine code generated key, messagebox for invalid serial.....
Can anyone tell me more about Dotfuscator protected files and any tips how should I proceed from here?

tnx

Default Second season

Finally I have been able to finish the first Components cracking tutor, This is a very useful one since it covers many techniques in .net cracking, so you must read this one.

I have edited the entire series of tutors and fixed some errors too, If you have any comments then please tell me.

get the Package from here and make sure to post the link everywhere. It's about 7 MB.

Here it is, along with all files from directory.
Setup is big, 65mb , so I'll not send that.
I think you cant start this because setup is doing something with oledb database and you will receive error on launch, but you can check exe file in this archive and have a look. Size is 1.2mb

Thank you

@Kurapica:
Great move ! Keep on..

@vito:
Don't forget to remove the StrongNames (CRC check as u say).
SmartKill will do that for you - for the main app and prolly for
some used DLLs aswell. That means removing PublicKeyTokens
for referenced assemblies !

@UFO-Pu55y ,

Already done that, it says Strong name signature not available, Assembly doesn't seem to be strong signed.

I've posted in this thread link to this EXE file but post is not showing, dont know why ....

tnx

Maybe I'm not allowed to post links, let me try this way :

rapidshare.com/files/76505926/Contrast2006.rar.html

Edit : yeah, it works that way....
So, size of archive is 1.2mb, all files with exe file from Program Files directory included,
actual setup is 65mb long , if needed I can post that too.
Any info and tips would be great.

Thank You
